This national park was (and in some areas still is) home to the Tayrona civilization that thrived in the area some 2000 years ago, long before the more famous Inca culture from Peru.


The park comprises easy walks and tours in colombia that take you to various secluded beaches and remnants of small villages attributed to the Tayrona culture. It is a beautiful, idyllic location with outstanding beaches voted the 2nd best in the world by the Guardian newspaper in 2006.


We stay in Eco cabins for 2 nights (made from locally found materials) which gives you plenty of time to explore the area and relax whilst taking in this amazing location.


The travels in colombia (sometimes spelt Tairona) were renowned for their unique gold work with many exhibits on display in Bogota’s gold museum.
